James Morrison’s 45-year-old spouse was discovered deceased at the family residence.

Reports state that Gill Catchpole, who was married to the musician and had two daughters, passed away on Friday at Whitminster in Gloucestershire.

Morrison, 39, who debuted at number one on the charts in 2006 with the song “You Give Me Something,” is reportedly “devastated” by the passing of his lover, whom he called his “hero” when they initially dated at the age of 17.

On Friday morning, Ms. Catchpole was discovered at her Whitminster, Gloucestershire, home. There is no reason to suspect the death.

She is the mother of the two daughters of Mr. Morrison, and the two have been together since their teenage years.

According to a police statement, “the coroners and woman’s next of kin have been informed.” Officers were summoned to assist a fortysomething woman.
