An array of well-known musicians has been revealed as part of Coachella 2024’s schedule. Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and Tyler, the Creator will be the festival’s main performers. On Wednesday, January 17, the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival organisers unveiled a formidable roster that will take the stages this year. Attendees can expect an exceptional musical experience thanks to the festival’s unique lineup of superstars.
The captivating Lana Del Rey, the genre-busting Tyler, the Creator, and the boundary-pushing Doja Cat are in the lead. A surprising addition to the bill, No Doubt’s reunion at the event will cause a wave of nostalgia as they go back to their Orange County ska-punk beginnings. The group that made Gwen Stefani famous put out their last record, “Push and Shove,” a decade and a half ago.
According to entertainment industry website Variety, both Dua Lipa and Shakira were considered for the lead role. Shakira was passed over by festival producers, while Lipa turned down the invitation due to a scheduling conflict, according to sources who spoke with Variety.
The Mexican vocalist Peso Pluma, Jack Antonoff’s band Bleachers, and the Deftones are also on the bill this year.
The last two years have been filled with controversy surrounding Coachella’s headliners, including last-minute withdrawals from Frank Ocean and Kanye West. Having performed a much-maligned concert the previous weekend with pre-recorded vocals and unconventional gimmicks, Ocean cancelled his second weekend engagement.
All 125,000 day passes for the biggest music festival in North America have already been sold out. Friday at 11 a.m. is when the three-day passes will be available.
