Global New Year’s Eve attendees can watch the famous Times Square Ball Drop live from New York City online for free, along with a number of other live events and broadcasts that will see 2024 ushered in.
Times Square will be a prominent location on traditional TV as part of the schedule that airs on ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN. LL Cool J, Megan Thee Stallion, Jelly Roll with Jessie Murph, Sabrina Carpenter, and Tyla will all perform live on ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest”; Enrique Iglesias, Maroon 5, Jonas Brothers, Flo Rida, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, and Rod Stewart will perform on CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen”; and Univision’s “¡Feliz 2023!”
For those without cable, the best way to watch any of the above live broadcasts is through a live TV streamer like FuboTV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, or DirecTV Stream.
In addition to the Times Square Ball Drop, CBS’s “Nashville’s Big Bash,” a five-hour special with performances by Morgan Wallen, Bailey Zimmerman, Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson, Thomas Rhett, and numerous other country stars, is another way to celebrate the start of a new year. The five-hour special airs in two 2.5-hour blocks, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. ET/PT, with part two airing from 10:30 p.m. to 1:05 a.m. ET/PT, following a half-hour break for local news. Additionally, Showtime subscribers can watch the show live and on-demand on Paramount+ (and starting the next day, on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers).
Thanks to Vimeo’s Livestream platform, the full six-hour Times Square 2024 livestream will be accessible for free on a number of websites, including TimesSquareNYC.org and TimesSquareBall.net.It will begin on December 31, 2023, at 6 p.m. ET, and end on January 1, 2024, at 12:15 a.m. ET.
