How to stay calm?

Every human on this earth got worries. The level of worry may vary, but they do exist. So now the question arises then how to stay calm in these situations?

When something unexpected happens, your first instinct may be to panic. You panic and make yourself too stressed. This can result in a complete breakdown. This can cause long-term damage to your health and lower your productivity.

We all face new challenges and unexpected challenges. The way we deal with these challenges is all that matters.

There may be a lot of things going on in your life, where you got so many responsibilities at work, at home, as you play different roles at different places. All these responsibilities put you under a pressure.

Importantly your performance may affect when you fail to manage your emotions and stay calm under such pressures.

The most successful people in the world have seen success only because of managing their stress and learned the art of being calm under any pressure, any situation, any challenges.

Personally, I feel a person can stay in peace, calm without any stress and live a happy life by managing how to control his or her emotions in any worst and good situations.

Try to analyze the consequences you being without staying calm

  • Firstly, when you are in an unexpected circumstance, that made you get upset, angry, and you do not know how to react and what to do. Then think of the consequences or the product of your angry, lets me take an example to make you very clear.
  • For instance, there were times when I easily get into this anger mode in the simple stuff. This happened when I fought with my sister for not so important reason and in anger, without thinking for a second I smashed my new phone.
  • I lost my phone and wasted my hard-earned money, unfortunately.
  • This is just a small example; there can be many of yours. If I had thought for a minute about the consequences of breaking my phone then I would not have broken my phone. All that needed was a little calmness and patience.
  • So just, think before you react in worse situation or circumstances.

Go for a walk and stay calm

  • If you are under pressure at work, just five minutes of fresh air and a change of place could help you to feel calmer and gain a new perspective on the same situation.
  • Do not respond or react instantly where you are not in a situation. Just take some time, go out for a few minutes and resume your work.
  • This will make you avoid taking wrong decisions at the wrong time.

Stay positive

This is the most common advice you get when you are drowning in the waters of negativity, in fact, the most effective of overcoming stress.

There are many ways to stay positive in your life, even when you are going through challenges, sadness, or anger

How to stay positive?

  • In simple words, I would say just have hope and confidence in yourself. Do not doubt yourself, just think of your ability in the past incidents and remind yourself of your capabilities and try to overcome those challenges by staying calm and positive.
  • Any positive thought will do to refocus your attention. I understand it is too easy when you are in good mood but it is difficult when you are in a negative home.

Talk to your loved ones

Talk to your loved ones be it your mom, wife colleague, dad, girlfriend, or boyfriend. Just share your feelings about how you are feeling.

  • Because sharing your feeling with your loved one makes you feel reenergized and refreshed.
  • Talking with your favorite, you get back the feedback or suggestions to your problem.

Sleep enough to stay calm

  • Things could go even worse when you have not slept enough. Stress and tension can often lead to insomnia, eventually, you end up in a vicious cycle – not being able to sleep and then feeling worse because of not having enough nap.
  • Sufficient sleep helps you wake up fresh and stay the positive whole day.

Meditate is key to stay calm

  • Spending a few minutes in meditation can restore your calm and inner peace
  • It’s the most simple and easy way to overcome stress, anger and anxiety
  • Practice meditation wherever you are irrespective of place. Whether you are at work, home, in the car.

Listen to music

Listening to music can have a tremendously relaxing effect on our minds and bodies, especially slow, quiet classical music

  • Perhaps you may feels like a waste of time listening to music in such a situation, which gives you nothing in return.
  • However, it is the best treatment to reduce stress.
  • Music therapy significantly reduces emotional distress and boosts the quality of life, for one going through sorrow.

Talk less.

  • Stress and tension can be increased more when you talk more on stuff that is not related to you.
  • We, humans, have this practice of interfering into other problems by talking unnecessarily and makes us even more stressed along with our problems.
  • Sometimes we react more thinking other’s problems are our problems and lose our calmness in our life.
  • The less you talk the less you get into tensions. In this was you make yourself less stressed and can improve your calmness in your less.
  • Focus more on your work, and do not over react for the things which is not under your control.

How to overcome love failure?

In this article we will try to put together the things to do for overcoming love failure. Love is something above imagination, which happen unexpectedly;

what is love failure?

Due to some specific circumstances or as per planned this individual moves separately.

In these cases without their knowledge, both will suffer to some extent…  Nevertheless, one in this two will take too much pain because she or he was not planned for anything to leave. When things happen suddenly, it is not so easy to digest.

Red Amazon Danbo on Brown Wooden Surface

What I personally like to tell is no relationships without self Interest.

If we lose one pen or pencil which we liked itself, will make us feel uncomfortable for some days.. Then how will be the human being? Who was speaking spending time, who was talking for hours, now became literally silent.

Now we can feel silence is louder then voice.

Let us not talk much about the reasons of break up.

God has given a very marvelous boon called forgetting, things changes as time changes, so give some time, time, will change everything.

I could like to tell you once instance. When we are small, we learn many of poems, stories etc. but do we actually remember it even now. Obviously, no we will not remember it. Nothing but we will forget the things, not totally but to some extent to stay a peacefully life.

Relax its ok

How and what as to be done to overcome love failure?

  1. Try to remove all old memories any photo messages or whatever.
  2. Do not try to get in touch with that person again, and do not try to stay like friend after you break up.
  3. Stay as far as possible, do not try to get in together with any projects work, or any trips…
  4. Avoid people who will talk about your relationship, and try to stay far from those who knows all your personal things. Because the questions they ask or the topic they take for conversation may provoke you to text or call her or him back. So big No
  5. Make yourself busy. In such a manner, that if you feel you want to think about her or he, you should not be having that much of time. Say like join gym, music class, teach children free. Why I said to spend time with children means, when we are younger, we not knew our childhood was so beautiful. We got to know only after we lost it.
  6. Broken pencils is far better than broken hearts
  7. Have a long drive. Very alone, do not try to include any one into your long drive plan. Go alone have a talk with nature.
  8. Make new friends who do not know about your past. Try to spend much time.
  9. If you could not control means, call any of your best friend and speak with them for some time.
  10. In addition, most importantly reduce using phone, frankly speaking that is the first culprit here.
  11. Watch movies; do not even dare to watch love stories.
  12. Wear nice clothes. Show up and move on its okay we do not own the entire problem in this world.
  13. If you feel you were cheated, take that pain back. Hit the pinching bag… There are still people who loves you.
  14. Read inspiration movies and not love stories books.
  15. Make a list of thing, which will make u feel sad or depressed and keep writing it. And never ever do the same thing again which made you sad.
  16. Do not feel depressed. Talk to yourself stand in front of mirror and tell yourself I’m alright there are still things to be done by me. Alternatively, what you want to do, stay motivated
  17. At last, stay alone to be happy.
  18. There are some good love failure quotes.

How To Prepare For Current Affairs In UPSC(IAS)?

In civil service examination, current affairs play a very important role. In this article, we will be knowing how to prepare for current affairs, with an example.

UPSC is considered as the mother of all exams in India.

UPSC conducts an exam called CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION, which is a dream, of most of the Indian youth.

Why this UPSC exam is considered so hard?

Because of the unpredictable nature of UPSC questions, prelims make themselves unpredictable, that’s the reason why it is considered as the mother of all exams, and the number of post is very less compared to number of applicants so success ratio is very less.

Firstly, what is UPSC?

Established on 1 October 1926, by the government of India act 1935.

UPSC is a premier central recruiting agency, which is responsible for appointing ALL INDIA SERVICES AND Group A and group B Services.

This independent constitutional body report directly to the president. In addition, it can also advise the government through the President. However, this advice is not binding to the government.

This commission is headquartered at Dholpur House in NEW DELHI and at present, PRADEEP KUMAR JOSHI been the chairperson of UPSC.

Article 315 to 323 or part XIV of constitution deals with the above-mentioned words.

What is Civils Service Examination (CSE)?

Civil Services Examination is organized by UPSC,

Warren Hastings, the governor-general of Bengal had created the designation called DISTRICT COLLECTOR in 1772.

CHARLES CORNWALLIS is known as the ‘Father of civil service in India‘.

First open comparative examination for the civil service was first held in 1855.

Secondly, how to prepare for current affairs?

Let me consider few examples to make you understand what kind of news to be read for current affairs? and in coming paragraph, I would like to tell which are the topics, which are not so favorite to UPSC.

Which plays a major part in current affairs?

In Civil Service Examinations, current affairs play a huge role, fine then what is current affairs?  which is nothing but a newspaper.

Dear friends, in this respective article I would like to share or tell you how to conquer this current affairs part for your preparation.

When a person is started to prepare for a civil service examination, which is not just an exam like your academic examination, it is an unspoken emotional attachment and a prolonged journey.

When someone steps into this preparation zone, hundreds of questions will be bouncing in his or her mind. In those hundred, how to prepare for current affairs is one in the top list.

Current affairs are something which tells about the daily news, perhaps UPSC wants its candidates to know about the in and out of the country, whether it is Economy related, Geographical, International relationship, defense and much more.

Each year we can expect a minimum of 17+ questions in this current affairs part, in other words, more than 34marks, each civil service aspirants know the importance of 34 marks, am I correct?

Thirdly, what should be the source to prepare for current affairs?

When it comes to preparing for UPSC.

Each book markets and bookstore are flooded with the current affairs, magazine, notes, has the spoon-feeding increased by the tuition institution;

we saw a change in question patterns of UPSC which made us once again remember that UPSC is unpredictable.

GENEROUSLY FOLLOW ONE NEWSPAPER, my dear friends I personally recommend you THE HINDU or TIMES OF INDIA.

Do not be upset if you cannot read or understand topics in newspaper.

It takes time for each individual, which in turn depends on himself or herself. As days go on the time taken to read the paper also decreases day by day, so I like to tell, CONSISTENT IS IMPORTANT.

DON’T BE A BOOK OR MAGAZINE COLLECTOR.

READ ONE MAGAZINE. For an instance, magazine like YOJANA.

DO NOT GIVE TOO MUCH TIME FOR CURRENT AFFAIRS, DO NOT GIVE MORE THEN 1.30HRS PER DAY.

REVISION IS THE KEY.

LET’S HAVE AN EXAMPLE HERE

This article is from THE HINDU

https://www.thehindu.com/news/international/pakistans-anti-terror-court-sentences-jud-chief-hafiz-saeed-to-10-years-in-jail-in-two-more-cases/article33132443.ece

Thursday’s sentencing comes weeks after Paris-based global money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog – the Financial Action Task Force – retained Pakistan on its grey list till February 2021 as Islamabad failed to fulfil the agency’s six key obligations, including failure to take action against two of India’s most wanted terrorists – Saeed and Maulana Masood Azhar.

From the above-mentioned article I have copied, a small para to give an instance. Here the key word is, FINANCIAL ACTION TASK FORCE.

Now what you should do is to make notes on that topic and I prefer to do notes in online mode.

Because, if you see the same word again in later days you can just point down so by doing it for yearlong, you will be having knowledge on almost everything on the topics.

Coming to next tip, never ever try to go in too depth of the topic, just see what actually it is. What’s its relationship with India?

For exam, let us make a note on financial action task force.

What is Financial Action Task Force?

  • Financial Action Task Force (FATF), also known by its French name, Groupe d’action financière (GAFI), is an inter-governmental body established in 1989 by a group of Seven (G-7) summit that was held in Paris.
  • The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is the global money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog.
  • FATF was initially established to develop policies to combat money laundering.
  • In 2001, it included terrorism financing along with money laundering.
  • In April 2012, it added efforts to counter the financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

Why FATF came into existence?

  • The rise of the global economy and international trade has given rise to financial crimes such as money laundering.
  • The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) gives directions for fighting financial crime, analyses member’s policies, and protocols, and seeks to increase acceptance of anti-money laundering regulations across the world.

Objectives of FATF

  • The objectives of the FATF are to set standards and encourages effective implementation of legal, regulatory, and operational measures for fighting money laundering, terrorist financing, and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system.

FATF Secretariat is located at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OCED) headquarters in Paris.

Members of FATF
  • The FATF currently consists of 37 member jurisdictions and 2 regional organizations, representing most major financial centers in all parts of the globe. And includes observers and associate members.
  • India is one of the members
FATF observers
  • Indonesia
FATF President
  • The FATF president is a senior official appointed by the FATF board from among its members for a term of one year. The term of the president begins on July 1 and ends on June 30th of the following year.
  • Dr. Marcus Pleyer of Germany assumed the position of the FATF on 1 July 2020. He succeeded Xiangmin Liu of the People’s Republic of China.
FATF’s lists
  • FATF has two lists: Grey List and Black List
  • Grey List: Countries that are considered safe heaven for supporting terror funding and money laundering are put in the FATF Grey List. This inclusion serves as a warning to the country that it may enter the blacklist.
  • Black List: Countries known as Non – Cooperative Countries or Territories (NCCTs) are put in the Black List. These countries support terror funding and money laundering activities. The FATF revises the blacklist regularly, adding or deleting entries.

India became an Observer at FATF IN 2006. India had been working towards full-fledged membership. On June 25, 2010, India was taken in as the 34th country member of the FATF.

Consequences of being in the FATF Grey List :

  • Economic sanctions from IMF, World Bank, ADB
  • The problem is getting loans from IMF, World Bank, ADB, and other countries.
  • Reductions in international trade.
  • International boycott.

In this way you can make notes on current affairs topics, where you will have complete basic and advanced knowledge regarding the topics which is more sufficient for the exam.

If you come across topics that are relevant to syllabus, just make notes that includes basic information about it. Always make current affairs notes in simple and short .

Because you will have to read at least one year current affairs which is already huge.

Most importantly do not make bulky and large notes on simple topics.

How To Read A Newspaper

What is a newspaper?

A newspaper is a periodical publication (usually issued daily or weekly) containing written information about news, articles, advertisements, and correspondence and is often typed in black ink with a white or grey background consisting of folded unstapled sheets.

The art of reading seems to be perishing out as more potential readers turn to other sources for information, particularly internet publications like blogs, opinion sites, and short news applications.

Today most newspapers are also published on websites as online newspapers, and some have even abandoned their print versions entirely.

Why one should read newspapers?

This question had occurred even to me. However, once I started reading, it helped me to gain knowledge in various fields.

There is a lot of difference between the person who reads newspaper and one who does not.

Reading newspapers helps to find a connection to your community, or to improve your English language.

And it can also help you to get greater knowledge about local, national or world events. Even preparing for competitive exams and all also to chill out while enjoying a coffee.

Here is a better way to get into how to read a newspaper.

Decide your reading intention.

People got their own motive to read.

Few will particularly choose categories in newspapers like crosswords, comics, editorial section, sport, political news, science and technology, astrology, job advertisements, and many more.

If you are reading for relaxation or pleasure, then your approach might be less structured.

If you are focusing on specific topic or for reading practice, then you need to spend more time and you will have to be more organized manner.

Find a satisfied or comfortable place to read a newspaper

Most people have their own places to read, especially when it comes to reading newspaper.

Coffee shops, outdoor seating at restaurants, buses, trains, and also your own easy chair are great places to settle in and enjoy reading. Did I forget to mention with a cup of coffee/tea?

However, when one is reading newspapers for competitive exams, they should find a calm and silent place where they can concentrate more, where there will be no disturbances or distractions.

Business, Background, Blog, Communication, Data
Choose where you want to begin in newspaper

Based on your reading purpose choose the section or article that has caught your attention.

Newspaper articles are generally written in an “inverted pyramid” structure, that is the foremost information appears at the beginning of the article, rather than the end.

usually the first paragraph is portrayed to catch the reader’s attention to read further.

A newspaper includes sections like local, national, international, editorial and opinion, letters to the editor, TV listings, movie listings and reviews, business, holidays and travel, health, real estate, and so on.

So select the sections based on your interest and reasons to read.

If you are looking for any particular topic, article, or section this will save you time, since you do not have to hunt the newspaper blindly.

Nevertheless, my personal opinion is to start on the first page because there is a tradition in newspapers where the most important story appears at the top right of the front page.

Choosing a newspaper
Newspaper, Paper, Newsprint, Daily Newspaper

Choosing a newspaper is correspondingly very important as different newspaper contains different information.

  • Pick a local newspaper if you are looking for community connection. Local writers will write these local newspapers (both dailies, weeklies) where you can connect to your community’s inhabitants, politics and things going on.
  • Pick a national newspaper if you want broader report, analysis, or coverage of national issues. But few newspapers publish the fusion of local and national reports.
  • Pick an international newspaper if you want a better understanding of finance and foreign policy, geopolitics etc. These international reports can level up your thoughts, ideas, knowledge, and match to people across the world.
  • Decide if you want to read an online newspaper or physical newspaper. This is entirely your perspective to select the print or an online version.
  • Pick one, which gives out news legitimately, and the opinions separately. There will be fusion of factual news and opinionated editorials.

Try out the way of reading a newspaper in which you feel comfortable, satisfied and enjoying.

Also, if you are reading to relax or for academic purposes connect, you are reading to your own life and apply your reading practically.

The best way to read and remember what you read from newspapers are; what, who, why, when, and where no matter what the sections are.

conclusion

Finally yet importantly if you are reading a physical newspaper then reuse your newspaper by passing it on to a friend. And reuse it for any other purposes.

But when you pass it to your friend make sure you put all of the sections back in place when you’re done.

How to look handsome?

In this growing technology and enhancing communicative world, looking handsome matters a lot because it is not strange, we meet a lot of people every day and we need to get the attention, as it became mandatory in this world, to look handsome. seriously?

Let’s take an instance to consider two individuals who attend the interview and both are having almost the same academic records and their past history or work experience,

so  now in this two individual who will get the post,  which was only one in number.

So for sure external appearance matters a lot in this kind of situation, folks I am not talking only about any job interview, it can be any gathering, social meeting, relatives functions marriage functions, or college days as well.

Looking handsome

What makes someone to consider, who is handsome or in other hands confident, or attractive, practically speaking.

Just by look no person can be judged by what knowledge he has, or how much good that individual is, just external appearance matters.

Looking handsome is one of the common needs or wishes of almost everyone, looking handsome has nothing to do with fairness, so no need to worry whether you are fair or dark, looking handsome, totally has anything to do with it.

So how to look handsome?

When we are talking about handsome in another word, I like to call it as external appearance, hope you do not mind.

Looking good or handsome, that totally matters on the way to talk with others, the way your dress, so let us have a simple note on how to look handsome.

Some other time let us have a conversation on how to talk.

What kind of dress to wear?

Wearing what kind of dress, here I do not mean to wear any branded, luxury clothes, which may make your pocket dry, what actually matters here, is just the combination of colors.

To look handsome I like to suggest to you some point, which will help you a lot to look handsome

  1. Always, try to wear light color shirts, let that shirt be not too loose to entertain the flow of air, not so tight to make you sweat.
  2. Always, choose the trousers in a dark color, because your shirt is light in color,
  3. Don’t use any of the big loose trousers, if it fits fine without the help of a belt then for sure, it is correct, and the length let it be not too short nor too tight.
  4. Reduce if there are any designing things on your trousers, I do not think so it will be professional.
  5. A good analog watch is totally appreciating, and if you are, using a chain watch means it is not so accepting if it is too loose.
  6. Always try to tuck in your shirt, to do so, definitely your belt should be nice and neat, please prefer dark colors.
  7. The best pair of dark shoes, black or brown with socks always make a person looks gentle.
  8. Don’t use any harsh deodorant or spray, which most of the people surrounding you may not always like.
  9. Always, try to carry a kerchief or some tissue papers with you, because after you go out for sure you sweat
  10. If your skin tone is dark. Avoid dark colors and even black color may look awesome for each individual. Do keep in mind black absorbs radiations so it will make you more sweating than anything else will.

Do not forget comb your hairs

When it any friends meeting or any unofficial meetings means any color t-shirt, which actually does not matter, with jeans is more than enough. If you’re wearing a shirt means. I recommend you any cotton shirts. Never too loose nor too tight.

Consolidating everything

Do keep one thing in mind whatever dress you wear that doesn’t actually make a hundred percent effort to look handsome.

What matters a lot is how your physique is, so always try to eat healthy food, stay hydrated, avoid junk and fast food, reduce your belly size and always carry a million dollar worth smile on your face, and reduce talking that’s it.

With the average person checking their phones 47 times a day, this results in over 3 hours per day spent on mobile and picking up their phones 2617 times per day. You spend most of your time just by checking up your phone. Think of these hours spending on useful things like reading or doing things, you love, making you more productive and positive towards yourself.

What made me to write this article?

I used to spend my most of the time with my phone and never remember me without my phone and used to carry wherever I go. On an average, I used to spend minimum 10 hours daily on my phone. As a result, I faced lot of consequences because of my long phone usage.

What I did in return?

Then I decided to reduce using my phone day by day. Finally, I ended up with maximum an hour of my phone usage. You will not know the benefits of reducing your screen time when you are into your phone addiction. However, when you start reducing your phone, that will make you crazy happy.

Beginning with reducing your screen time is difficult because you already made it has a habit of your daily life, but with proper mind-set you can overcome with this phone addiction.

In addition, trust me if you do not make up your mind to reduce your screen time, it will ruin your life sooner than you realize. I do not talk about people who work on their phone for earning or learning, but for them who are wasting their precious time doing useless stuffs on their phones.

Decide whether you want phone or not

  • This the most important step if you have decided to stop using your phone for a longer time.
  • First decide yourself whether is it necessary for you to have your phone. I know it sounds crazy, in this internet world living without phone.
  • I personally suggest goals are more important than your phones. If you are a school student, I do not think you need phone. You can survive with your textbooks and reference books. Of course, you can use your parent’s phone to clear your doubts, do it only if it’s necessary.
  •  If you are someone who is aiming to reach your goals within your fixed time then do not use phones, concentrate on your goals. If you find reason to use phone, then you will never end up stopping your addiction. There are many reasons to use your phone as well as there are more that you need not require phone especially smart phones.
  • If you are working person, then follow these below steps to decrease your smartphone use.

Start from small and make it large to beat smart phone addiction

  • Challenge yourself that you are going to overcome with the phone addiction.
  • You already know how long you are using your phone; it can be 8+ hours a day. Reduce it gradually day by day.
  • Decide yourself that your are going to reduce half an hour today , tomorrow an hour, keep reducing your phone usage until you feel you are progressing well in your life.
  • Reduce as much as you can, never postpone, thinking I’ll start from tomorrow, today I’ll use as much as I can. Be careful if you are using your phone you are getting addicted to it. It is difficult when you reach worst stage, before you, reach there try yourself to overcome.
  • It will be difficult for you in the beginning, do not lose hope try until you become succeed.
  • You may fail many times, but never give up, when you can use your phone all the day, you can even stay without your phone too.
  • Reward yourself when you spent less time on your phone. This concept is called positive self – reinforcement and it is used in the therapy in order to teach an individual positive behavior with a reward system.
  • Rewarding yourself encourages being more productive and staying happier.

Delete unwanted apps

  • Delete or uninstall apps that are most time consuming. It can be any apps, apps you check most often. For example, I have no WhatsApp on my phone now, where I used to spend more hours on it.
  • If you cannot uninstall apps that you feel, you require those apps then keep it in a separate screen, do not keep your distracting apps on your home screen of your phone.
  • Doing so you can stop using those apps as soon as you unlock your phone.
  • It’s quite common you uninstall apps in the morning, by the end of the day you re-install it again. Do not do this once you have deleted or uninstalled never step back. Try it for few days, and then automatically you will be used to it.

Stop using your phone in bed

  • Do not use your smartphone while you are in bed.
  • Studies have shown that using your smartphones in bed affects your healthy sleep, because the blue light messes with your sleep hormones. The blue light emitted by your mobile phone screen restrains the production of melatonin, the hormone that controls your sleep-wake cycle(circadian rhythm )
  • This makes it even more difficult for you to fall asleep and wake up early the next day.
  • According to the Harvard study, reading a screen before sleeping will cause you to feel more sleepy and groggy when you wake up in the morning.
  • Using your mobile phones in bed affects your sleep as well it destroys your next day plans because you will be more tired and feel exhausted to wake up early in the morning.
  • I used to use my phone late nights and felt exhausted to do work in the next morning.
  • I implemented this recently, ever since I got back into strict rules of no screen after 9 pm, I have been sleeping peacefully without any stress and wake up early with positive mind set to complete all my day plans.
  • Trust me do make it a habit for at least 10 days, you will see wonders in your life.

Give a makeover to your phone

  • Makeover does not mean change your phone looks. There are settings in your phone that helps improve your focus on your work and goals, for instance, google as wellbeing option in almost all smart phones.
  • Change some settings in your mobile. Below are some settings that helps you to stay focused and reduce your screen time.
  • Turn on do not disturb when you are doing something important like when you are studying or doing work. This helps you prevent from calls, messages, and notifications that interrupts you during your focus time.
  • Turn of all the notifications of your distracting apps. Personally, I only left notifications on for email, and few utility apps. This will reduce the number of times your phone rings or vibrates.
  • Group those distracting apps into folders and keep it on a separate screen. For example, I have grouped YouTube, music app and few more apps under one folder as entertainment apps, which I use only to get refreshed. In addition, chat messages apps under one folder. You can group according to apps you have in your phone.
  • Set a limit to your most often used apps, this prevents you from using those apps for a longer time. I have kept a limit of 15 minutes for chat messages apps, which I used to use very often. When I try to cross the time limit of that app, it prevents me from using the app. This was you can limit yourself from phone addiction.
  • Even you can put your apps into focus mode before you start doing something productive and important stuffs. This makes even more comfortable when you are into something.

Concentrate on your hobbies and reduce phone addiction.

  • There may be some free time or breaks during your schedules. Do not spend this time on your phone, it is your time, so do something you love, like your hobbies or something you want to do.
  •  Doing something you love helps you relieve your stress levels, gives you a sense of self – efficacy.
  • Hobbies can improve the quality of your life, lower blood pressure, strengthen your immune system, and even improve your ability to concentrate. This way you can use your free time rather than gluing to your phone.

Use motivational pictures

  • You might have some motivation pictures that you liked and saved on your phone. That is ok if you do not have any, Google and get some pictures on your phone.
  • Use those pictures as your screen lock and home wallpaper. Use it as background images in apps you visit many times.
  • Using it on screen lock and home wallpaper makes, you remind every time when you try to unlock your screen for no reason.

Set restricted areas

  • Set yourself restricted zones that you never use your phone in those areas. For example, I have restricted myself not to use my phone when I am in kitchen, while having food, in toilet.
  • This helped me to beat my addiction towards my phone day by day.
  • You have to set up your mind in those areas that you are not going to use phone, phone free zones.
